Restoring a DNS zone backup in cPanel
Restore or download a domain's DNS zone from a JetBackup backup, with backups available for the last 30 days.
JetBackup in cPanel lets you restore or download the DNS zone for any domain on your account, with backups available for the last 30 days.
Restore a DNS zone backup
- Log in to cPanel and, in the Files section, open JetBackup 5.
- On the Restore & Download screen, click the Domains tab. A DNS zone backup is listed for each domain on your account.

- Find the domain and backup date you want, then choose:
- Restore - rolls the domain's DNS zone back to the selected backup.
- Download - saves the zone file to your computer.
If you have made recent DNS changes, download the backup first and check the records before restoring, so you know exactly what will be rolled back.
If you need a hand, our support team is available 24/7 - just open a support ticket.
