How do I access webmail?

Webmail lets you read and send email from any web browser, on any device, without setting up a mail program. This guide covers how to reach it.

First, which mail system are you on?

We run two different email platforms, and they have separate webmail logins:

• Standard hosting mailboxes (email addresses on your own domain, managed through cPanel) use the webmail described below.
• Zimbra mailboxes use a different system at a separate address. If your email is on Zimbra, see our guide to accessing Zimbra webmail instead - the steps below will not work for a Zimbra account.

If you are not sure which you have: if you manage your email through cPanel and created the address yourself there, you are on standard hosting and this guide is the right one.

Accessing webmail for a hosting mailbox

The simplest way is to go straight to the login page in your browser. Replace yourdomain.com with your own domain:

https://yourdomain.com/webmail

Your email password is the one set for that specific mailbox when it was created. It is separate from your cPanel password and your MyKualo login - they are deliberately kept apart so that, for example, a team member can be given access to a single mailbox without being able to log in to the hosting account or billing. If your cPanel or MyKualo password does not work here, that is why. If you do not know the mailbox's password, you can reset it in cPanel under Email Accounts by clicking Manage next to the address.

Enter your full email address and your email password, then click Log in. That takes you straight to your inbox.

Accessing webmail through cPanel

If you manage the hosting account, you can also open webmail for any mailbox on the account from inside cPanel, without needing each mailbox's password. This is handy if you look after several addresses.

1. Log in to cPanel.
2. In the Email section, click Email Accounts.
3. Find the mailbox you want to open and click Check Email next to it.

This opens that mailbox's webmail directly. Because you are already authenticated in cPanel, you are not asked for the mailbox password, which makes it a quick way to check or troubleshoot any address on your account.

Saving time on future logins

When you log in at yourdomain.com/webmail, you can bookmark the page that opens so you return straight to your inbox next time. Webmail will remember you for a while before asking you to log in again.
