How to set up a POP email account on your iPhone

Follow these steps to add a POP email account to your iPhone using your Kualo email settings.

Follow these steps to add a POP email account to your iPhone. The exact layout of your Settings app may differ slightly depending on your iOS version.

POP downloads emails to your device and typically removes them from the server. If you want to access the same mailbox on multiple devices, consider using IMAP instead.

Add the account

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

  2. Scroll down and tap Mail. (On older iOS versions this may appear as Mail, Contacts, Calendars.)

  3. Tap Accounts, then tap Add Account.

  4. Tap Other.

  5. Tap Add Mail Account.

Enter your account details

  1. Fill in the following fields:

    Field What to enter
    Name Your display name (shown to recipients)
    Email Your full email address
    Password Your email account password
    Description A label for this account - you can change it

  2. Tap Next.

Configure incoming and outgoing servers

  1. At the top of the screen, select POP.

  2. Under Incoming Mail Server, enter your host name, username, and password.

  3. Under Outgoing Mail Server, enter your host name, username, and password.

  4. Tap Save.

Your account will now appear in the Accounts list.

Check your email

  1. Return to the home screen and tap the Mail app. The icon may be in a different location on your device.

  2. If you have more than one account set up, all accounts are listed here. Tap the account you just added.

  3. Your inbox messages will be displayed. Tap any message to open it.
