Use Smart Templates
Set your logo and colours once, then let Smart Templates apply your branding to campaigns automatically.
Smart Templates are ready-made designs that apply your branding automatically. Set your logo and colours once, pick a template, and your emails come out consistent and on-brand with very little effort. This guide covers setting up your brand and using it in a campaign.
Set up your brand
- Click Brand in the top-right menu to open the branding settings.
- Go to the Smart Templates tab.
- Upload your logo and click the one you want as your main logo. A transparent PNG around 400 x 200 pixels works best - it's applied automatically wherever you use the smart logo block.
- Choose your text colours - a primary and secondary colour that match your brand.
- Set your button colours to complement your palette.
Use Smart Templates in a campaign
- Create a new campaign.
- Turn on Activate smart branding during creation - this applies your brand to the campaign automatically.
- Pick a design from Smart Templates and it appears already branded. Adjust the text to suit, and you're done.
Smart Templates draw on the same logo and colours as your brand settings and confirmation pages, so everything your subscribers see stays consistent.
Troubleshooting
Smart branding isn't applying - make sure Activate smart branding is on, that you saved your brand settings first, and that your logo and colours are configured. A refresh after saving helps.
The logo looks distorted - use the recommended 400 x 200 pixels and a transparent PNG, and avoid excess whitespace around the edges.
Brand colours are wrong - confirm you saved all the colours (primary, secondary, buttons), use hex codes for precision, and clear your cache.
Can't find Smart Templates - check the feature is included on your plan and that you have permission to access brand settings.
To build a template from scratch instead, see Use the email designer. If Smart Templates won't behave, open a support ticket.
