Add and manage senders

Add and verify the "from" address your campaigns send from, and the deliverability rules that go with it.

2 min read Updated 10 Jun 2026

Your "from" address - the sender - is the name and email your recipients see when your campaign lands. Getting it right matters for two reasons: it shapes their first impression of you, and it directly affects whether your email reaches the inbox at all. This guide covers adding and verifying a sender, and the deliverability rules worth knowing.

Add a sender

  1. Click your company name or email address in the top-right corner to open the dropdown, then click Senders.
  2. Click + Add sender.
  3. Enter the address and confirm. Once it's verified, you can use it as the "from" address on your campaigns.

For the best deliverability, always send from an address on a domain you've authenticated. Sending from an unauthenticated domain - or worse, a free address like @gmail.com or @yahoo.com - causes real delivery problems. See Authenticate your sending domain and Protect your sender reputation.

Troubleshooting

Verification email not received - check spam and junk folders, confirm the address is typed correctly with no spaces, and wait 10-15 minutes in case it's delayed. You can request a fresh verification email from sender settings.

Can't add a sender from a free provider - Gmail, Yahoo and other free providers require domain authentication. Use an address on your own professional domain instead.

Sender shows as "unverified" - finish the process by clicking the link in the verification email. If the link has expired (usually 24-48 hours), remove and re-add the sender to get a new one.

Recipients see a different sender name - clear your email client cache, avoid special characters in the display name, and make sure you've selected the right sender profile for the campaign.

Can't change the default sender - the new address must already be added and verified, no active campaign can be using the current default, and on a team or reseller account you may need the right permissions.

If a sender won't verify after a few attempts, open a support ticket.
