Add a PDF to a campaign
Host a PDF in your file manager and link to it - safer and better for deliverability than attaching it.
It's best not to attach files directly to marketing emails - attachments can trip spam filters, look suspicious to recipients, and bloat the message. The better way is to host the PDF in your file manager and link to it. This guide covers how.
Link a PDF from a button
- Open your campaign.
- Drag a Button block into the content.
- Select the button, and under Action on the right, click Link File.
- Click Upload and browse to your PDF (PDF thumbnails aren't shown). Save, and you're done.
Link a PDF from text
- Open your campaign.
- Select a word or phrase - the contextual menu appears.
- Click Insert link and choose File manager.
- Choose an existing PDF or upload a new one, then save.
Troubleshooting
The upload fails - keep the file under the size limit and make sure it isn't corrupted or password-protected.
The link doesn't work - confirm the PDF uploaded to the file manager, check the link is complete, and test in preview before sending.
Linking beats attaching for both deliverability and experience. For more on hosting files, see Upload files to the media library. Stuck? Open a support ticket.
