How to Access Softaculous WordPress Manager in cPanel
Learn how to access the Softaculous WordPress Manager in cPanel, and why WP Toolkit is now the recommended way to manage WordPress.
The Softaculous WordPress Manager shortcut was previously available in the left-hand cPanel menu, but it has been removed following the introduction of WP Toolkit. You can still access it manually, but we recommend WP Toolkit for day-to-day WordPress management.
Why we recommend WP Toolkit instead
WP Toolkit offers a more reliable and feature-rich experience than the Softaculous WordPress Manager:
- Vulnerability scanning - Automatically scans your WordPress installations, plugins, and themes for known vulnerabilities.
- Reliable staging - Create staging environments to test changes before pushing them to your live site.
- Smart updates - Test updates before applying them to avoid breaking your site, with the option to automate the process.
- Bulk management - Manage multiple WordPress installations at once, including bulk updates and plugin management.
- One-click hardening - Apply security best practices with a single click to reduce the risk of vulnerabilities.
- Centralised dashboard - A single, intuitive interface that makes managing all your WordPress sites simpler and faster.
For the full range of WP Toolkit guides, see the WP Toolkit articles in the knowledgebase.
If you are starting fresh or want a better management experience, WP Toolkit is the recommended tool for all WordPress installations on Kualo hosting.
Accessing Softaculous WordPress Manager
If you prefer to continue using Softaculous for WordPress management, you can still access it in cPanel:
- Log in to cPanel.
- Scroll down to the Software section.
- Click Softaculous Apps Installer.
- Click the WordPress icon at the top of the page.
- Navigate to the Installations tab.
This takes you directly into the Softaculous WordPress Manager, where you can continue managing your WordPress sites as before.
