The Softaculous WordPress Manager shortcut was previously available in the left-hand cPanel menu, but it has been removed following the introduction of WP Toolkit. You can still access it manually, but we recommend WP Toolkit for day-to-day WordPress management.

## Why we recommend WP Toolkit instead

WP Toolkit offers a more reliable and feature-rich experience than the Softaculous WordPress Manager:

- **Vulnerability scanning** - Automatically scans your WordPress installations, plugins, and themes for [known vulnerabilities](/knowledgebase/wp-toolkit/understanding-vulnerability-scanning-in-wp-toolkit).
- **Reliable staging** - [Create staging environments](/knowledgebase/wp-toolkit/creating-staging-websites-with-wp-toolkit) to test changes before pushing them to your live site.
- **Smart updates** - [Test updates before applying them](/knowledgebase/wp-toolkit/using-smart-updates-in-wp-toolkit) to avoid breaking your site, with the option to automate the process.
- **Bulk management** - Manage multiple WordPress installations at once, including bulk updates and plugin management.
- **One-click hardening** - [Apply security best practices](/knowledgebase/wp-toolkit/security-measures-in-wp-toolkit) with a single click to reduce the risk of vulnerabilities.
- **Centralised dashboard** - A single, intuitive interface that makes managing all your WordPress sites simpler and faster.

For the full range of WP Toolkit guides, see the WP Toolkit articles in the knowledgebase.

:::tip
If you are starting fresh or want a better management experience, WP Toolkit is the recommended tool for all WordPress installations on Kualo hosting.

## Accessing Softaculous WordPress Manager

If you prefer to continue using Softaculous for WordPress management, you can still access it in cPanel:

1. Log in to cPanel.
2. Scroll down to the **Software** section.
3. Click **Softaculous Apps Installer**.
4. Click the **WordPress** icon at the top of the page.
5. Navigate to the **Installations** tab.

This takes you directly into the Softaculous WordPress Manager, where you can continue managing your WordPress sites as before.
