How to install DokuWiki from Softaculous

Install DokuWiki on your hosting account quickly using the Softaculous app installer in cPanel.

You can install DokuWiki on your hosting account in just a few steps using Softaculous, the one-click app installer available in cPanel.

Finding DokuWiki in Softaculous

  1. Log in to cPanel and open Softaculous.
  2. Scroll down to the Wiki group in the left-hand menu.
  3. Find and click DokuWiki.

You will land on the DokuWiki overview page, where you can read about the software before proceeding.

Installing DokuWiki

  1. Click Install to open the installation form.
  2. If you have more than one domain on your account, use the Choose Domain dropdown to select where DokuWiki should be installed.

  1. Set the In Directory field to the folder name you want to use. The folder must not already exist on the server. Leave it blank to install at the root of the chosen domain.
  2. Enter a Wiki Name and choose an ACL Policy - Open, Public, or Closed - to control who can read and edit the wiki. You can change both settings later from the DokuWiki admin panel.

  1. Fill in the admin account details: username, password, real name, and admin email.

Use a strong, unique password for the admin account. Softaculous can generate one for you.

  1. Click Install.

Softaculous will install DokuWiki and display a confirmation screen with a link to your new wiki.

Click the link to visit your newly installed DokuWiki site.
