How to update your billing address and company details
Keep your billing name, address, company name, and VAT number accurate in MyKualo so your invoices are always correct.
Your billing details are stored against your MyKualo account and appear on every invoice we issue. Keeping them accurate matters for accounting, VAT compliance, and ensuring invoices are addressed to the right legal entity.
What details you can update yourself
You can update the following fields directly from the Kualo Client Area at any time:
- First and last name
- Billing address (including postcode and country)
- VAT number
- Phone number
You will not be able to update the company name without contacting us (see below).
How to update your billing details
- Log in to the Kualo Client Area at my.kualo.com.
- Click your name in the top-right corner and select Edit Account Details from the drop-down menu.
- Update the fields you need to change - name, company name, address, VAT number, or phone number.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
Your updated details will appear on all invoices raised from that point forward.
If you are VAT-registered, make sure your VAT number is entered correctly and kept up to date. We use it to determine how VAT is applied to your invoices.
Legal change of ownership
If the change you need to make represents a legal transfer of ownership - for example, a business has been sold, a company has been restructured, or you are moving services from one legal entity to another - we need to handle this on your behalf rather than you making the change directly.
This is to protect both parties. Before we transfer ownership of any service to a new legal entity, we need to verify that:
- the new entity legally exists;
- the current account holder or entity has approved the transfer;
- any other checks required by our terms of service have been completed.
To request a legal change of ownership, please raise a support ticket and include as much detail as possible about the change. We will let you know what documentation is required.
Domain registrant contact details are separate
The billing details on your MyKualo account are not the same as the registrant contact details held against your domain names. If you need to update the name, address, or organisation shown in your domain's WHOIS record, you must do that separately for each domain.
Contacts and sub-accounts
If you need other people - such as an accountant or a billing contact - to receive invoices or access billing information, you can add them as contacts on your account without giving them full account access. See our guide on how to add contacts and sub-accounts in MyKualo for details.
Keeping your account secure
If you are making changes to your account details, it is a good time to check that your password and two-factor authentication are also up to date. See enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) in MyKualo for instructions.
