# How to save a draft message in RoundCube

If you are partway through writing an email and need to come back to it later, RoundCube lets you save it as a draft.

## Save a draft

1. While composing your message, click **Save** in the compose toolbar. RoundCube stores the message in your **Drafts** folder without sending it.
2. You can safely close the message - your work is kept.

## Finish a draft later

1. Click the **Drafts** folder in the folder list.

2. Click the draft to reopen it, finish writing, and click **Send** when you are ready.

RoundCube also saves drafts automatically as you type, so you are unlikely to lose a long message even if you forget to save it by hand.
