The following will provide you with an introduction to the operating
systems we use and support at Kualo.
|

 |
 |
FreeBSD is our operating system of choice, and as such it is used across
all our web hosting and web hosting reseller servers. It is also the
operating system that we recommend to users to install on dedicated
servers.
FreeBSD is considered to be one of the most stable server operating
systems on the Internet today. Many people are phased by the fact that
it has the word 'free' in its name, as things which are 'free' are generally
considered to be of a lower quality than those which have to be paid
for. This could not be further from the truth with FreeBSD. It offers
advanced networking, performance, security and compatibility features
which are still missing in other operating systems, including
many of the best commercial ones. Many of the world's largest online
companies use FreeBSD, including Sony, Yahoo! and Apache.
For more information on FreeBSD, please visit their web site at www.freebsd.org.

Red Hat is the world's most trusted provider of the Linux operating
system being used by some of the world's largest commercial, government,
and academic institutions. Our Virtual Private Servers are powered by
RedHat Linux 9. Should you wish
to run a dedicated server based on RedHat software, we are happy to
install and support all versions of RedHat Linux, RedHat Enterprise
Linux and RedHat Fedora.
One of the principle reasons our clients choose RedHat is due to its
outstanding compatibility record with many applications and control
panel systems.
For more information on RedHat, please visit their web site at www.redhat.com.

Debian GNU/Linux is the second
flavor of the Linux based operating systems that we support. Debian is also an
extremely popular variant of the Linux operating system, also used by
some of the world's largest commercial, government, and academic institutions.
Should you wish to run a dedicated server based on the Debian operating
system, we are happy to support and install all the current latest versions.
For more information on Debian, please visit their web
site at www.debian.org. |

We will be supporting Microsoft Windows
based operating systems in the future - please keep checking for updates. |
