What's new at Kualo?
January 24th, 2012 - Kualo Launch MailMachine, Free Email Marketing Software |
|
Kualo announce a new free multi-lingual email marketing tool - MailMachine.
MailMachine is a new cloud-based email marketing tool that boasts an impressive set of features - with an entry level plan that is completely free of charge. Designed for both seasoned email marketeers as well as those new to mass mailing looking for an easy way to send newsletters, MailMachine's feature-set packs an impressive punch. Customers can subscribe to the base level plan which allows you to build a list of up to 2,000 subscribers and send up to 15,000 emails every month without incurring any cost whatsoever. The plan is not a trial and never expires - many other providers charge at least $10 per month for a similar service. "We wanted to create a service that enables everybody, including small organisations with limited resources, to make the most out of sending newsletters and marketing communications by email," said Jo Stonehouse, Kualo's Managing Director. "While having fancy HTML and CSS skills is certainly very impressive, we realise that not everyone can be an email-coding expert. One of the great features of MailMachine is our Campaign Builder, which through its point and click interface, means anyone can create a beautiful email newsletter in minutes. Not only is MailMachine incredibly easy to use, but by making the entry level plan free, anyone can take advantage of keeping in regular contact with their customers." MailMachine takes the headache out of sending newsletters by managing your list for you and helping ensure you always comply with spam laws, as well as providing detailed statistics so you know how effective your email campaigns are. Also included are advanced-level features such as A/B Split Testing, Auto Responders, Email Scheduling, Mail Merge, integration with Google maps, Twitter and Facebook, and much more. Customers with existing lists can easily import them from a spreadsheet or use one of the many integrations with 3rd parties, such as ZenDesk and SalesForce. For international customers, MailMachine is also available in French, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Turkish & Norwegian. To sign up to MailMachine visit www.kualo.com/email-marketing. |

August 24th, 2009 - Kualo announce increases to reseller plans |
|
Kualo today announced that it has increased the disk space quotas and bandwidth allocations for its network of resellers. The increase applies to both resellers in the UK and the USA. Due to reductions in the cost of bandwidth on its UK network, the company has pegged the bandwidth allocation to that of its US network. This has resulted in bandwidth increases of over 100% for some plans. The new allocations will be allocated to its network of resellers over the next few weeks, and all upgrades should be complete by the end of September. |
June 12th, 2008 - Kualo announce second data center facility in Tampa, USA. |
|
Kualo today announced plans to expand to a second data center in Tampa. The second facility affords the company increased power to run equipment due to the presence of an on-site substation, as well as access to new bandwidth carriers.
The new facility is just two blocks away from the current facility, and is located within Park Tower, downtown Tampa. The facility was formally owned by Genuity who invested many millions in the 9,060 sq foot data center before they were purchased by Level(3). The facility is a Tier 3 carrier grade facility, and as such has been built to physically withstand most natural or man-made disasters. It features Kevlar-reinforced walls, redundant generators, dual glycol cooling loops, its own 1 megawatt power substation and parallel UPS systems. The result is a facility within which single points of failure have been minimized as far as possible. Other notable features include: - Ionic "sniffers" to detect overheating - An Inergen gas fire suppression system - A dual pre-action dry pipe sprinkler system - Concrete reinforced bunker type walls surrounding the exterior - Redundant backup generators and fuel, with priority fuel supply contracts in the event of an extended outage of power - 11 20-ton Liebert Air Conditioning units - Overhead carrier-grade cable trays - Raised flooring - Elevated racks "We're incredibly excited about the new opportunities this new facility will bring to our customers. April 30th, 2008 - Kualo powers record breaking site, MySkip.com |
|
LONDON, UK, 30th April 2008 - Kualo Ltd. (www.kualo.com), a leading provider of international web hosting solutions, announced today it's involvement with MySkip.com, a brand new website dedicated to re-use. MySkip.com is a virtual skip where you can either rummage or dispose of useful items that might otherwise end up in landfill - helping to preserve the environment in the process.
MySkip.com contacted Kualo with a plan to attempt the Guinness World Record for the most number of visitors to their web site on launch day. The launch was just one week away, and MySkip needed a web host who could provision a platform to cope with the anticipated demand of this new-eco friendly web site. Their aim is to achieve over 1,000,000 unique visitors to their web site on their launch day. "We had very little time to prepare the infrastructure required to power MySkip.com" said Craig Luke, Kualo's Operations Director. Within a couple of days of hearing about their record breaking attempt, Kualo had provisioned MySkip.com with a resilient infrastructure to cope with the high anticipated demand. A load balanced cluster of eight web servers and four database servers now powers the site, which underwent significant modification in conjunction with our technical team and the MySkip.com developers to ready it for a high availability hosting. I am pleased to say that so far, the site has held up extremely well with no noticeable reduction in performance whatsoever." Whilst the advanced infrastructure will only be required during the initial launch week, this 'on tap' availability of resources is just what MySkip.com needed to ensure that the launch of such a worthy cause went as smoothly as possible. April 23rd, 2008 - Kualo completes UK network upgrades |
|
LONDON, UK, 23rd April 2008 - Kualo Ltd. (www.kualo.com), a leading provider of international web hosting solutions, announced today the completion of network upgrades in it's UK facility. All clients have now been migrated with minimal downtime thanks to the use of advanced IP and DNS mapping between the former and the new network. This allows both networks to run simultaneously on it's servers for a period of time, enabling customers with private nameservers and dedicated servers a period of several months in which to make adjustments to migrate fully to the new network. The upgraded network provides significant speed and redundancy improvements over the previous infrastructure, and is the result of tens of thousands of pounds (GBP) of investment into new hardware and transit agreements. The company is now in a position where it has multiple routers, multiple redundant gateways, it's own BGP across our own peering arrangements and two upstream carriers, Aexiomus & Othello, across which it receives blended transit feeds. The connectivity on the new network will be vast, including the following carriers: DataHop, Level3, KPN, EuroAccess, Net Access Corp, Abovenet/MFN, Tiscali and Cogent.
